Cowmire Hall has a boathouse, with a day-room above the dock, in a lovely peaceful bay on the west side of Windermere, near Lakeside. There is a jetty, and a slipway for launching dinghies, as well as a picnic table and barbecue.

Bothy guests may use the boathouse (though not always exclusively), and a rowing-boat, for a small extra charge; or you may bring your own canoe or sailing dinghy.
